Rohan Online Half Elf Ranger Class Build (PvP-PvE)

Half Elf Ranger Class Build (PvP/PvE)

The half elf ranger build in my opinion is the king of solo. This build is designed to bombard enemies from an insane attack range. The Ranger has a decent critical rate and some great rooting spells.

Stat Build: Your leveling points should be distributed as 1VIT – 3 DEX or This ranger build has no psyche so you are gonna rely on pots for your mana so you must be careful not to deplete it too soon.. You will have some decent HP with 130 points of VIT just in case someone might be lucky enough to get close to you.

This build has a large distribution of DEX to boost your ranged attack quite a bit. You will have great damage and a long range to do it in.

PvE: The easiest class to solo with by far and one of the fasted classes to level also. Most mobs won’t even get close enough to you to do any damage since you have long attack range and have the ability to slow your target mobility speed. Only ranged mobs will have that chance to get a few shots off before they hit the ground bleeding. You only really need to cast one skill per mob before they die since you will be doing some nasty normal ranged attack damage. You will also have an easy time when in a high level mob grind party. You don’t really have to move around much just let tankers tank and do a little pulling here and there.

PvP: The ranger class i one of the few classes that do well agains ranged and melee based classes in PvP. You take down magic type classes pretty easily and melee classes can be stunned and slowed down to a crawl before they can get to you. You can do some powerful critical damage at a long range using Critical Shot. The ranger has some great PvP skill at their disposal including Luxury Shot and Premium Shot leaving enemies with missed parts of their HP bar lol. A nice spell to initiate your PvP sequence is Speed Wind which boosts your attack speed to an insane rate that lasts 10 seconds. When a melee class finally does get to you, hit them with Brandish Kick which has a 70% chance to stun target for 9 seconds. You can kite away from enemies easily since you have increased mobility skills.

Conclusion: This ranger build is balanced and you will have extended use of your skills and will be able to solo and pvp well. You don’t have a whole lot of mana so be careful. Remember that range is your advantage, don’t let melee get to close or they will rip you up :)

Get Mesmerized With HiFi Systems

On March 31, 2010, in cassette Decks, by

Hi Fi systems provide unmatched sound quality. The types available in the market range from simple ones that provide high quality reproduction of sounds and images to complete entertainment systems that play DVDs, offer surround sound, allow editing etc. Nowadays, prices of these systems are a lot more affordable than it used to be.

There are three types of hi fi systems – midi, mini and micro. Midi systems are the largest of the lot and come with multi CD playing facility, cassette deck, etc. Mini systems being the next size down have similar features like midi systems except the size. Micro systems, being the smallest, can come as components too. Though these are less powerful, they are more discreet and easy to carry around. All systems to no have options of playing all media types, however the higher the price paid, the better the options that you can get.

Yamaha, Sony, Matsui, Goodmans, Denon are all major players in this sector. The power output, called wattage determines the loudness of the system. The lowest wattage level is less than 30 and the highest being 110watts and more. The different playable formats supported by hi-fi systems are CD, DVD, MP3, CD-R, CD-RW, and WMA. A radio tuner is a significant additional feature of hi-fi systems that facilitates storing station in its memory and reception of FM, MW and LW bands. To enjoy the digital sound system, the hi-fi systems are used.

These help the users to enjoy the audio in a more effective way and these are used nowadays for the reproduction of the sound. They are generally used to produce sounds in the hi-fi systems without any distortion in the sound. When compared with the home theatre systems, these systems are affordable to buy. The three stages of hi-fi systems, they can be distinguished as playback device of music, sound signals amplifier and loud speakers. The types are determined based on design and the output power along with the features and functions. Micro hi-fi systems, Mini hi-fi systems and Micro hi-fi systems are the types of hi-fi systems available.

The speakers, power output, audio video receivers and connectors are the features that are mainly available in the hi-fi systems. The hi-fi systems place the users to comfortably enjoy their favourite songs with high quality. These systems can be categorised as the advancement of technology helps to produce music in a better way.

Batusis were great this year at SXSW but then again they should be. New York Dolls guitarist Sylvain Sylvain and Rocket From The Tomb / Dead Boys punk legend Cheetah Chrome are the voices of Batusis.

Add in Enzo Penizzotto and Thommy Price from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and then there were four.

Batusis were hitting SXSW hard. They did the showcase, the parties and a few special shows, one being at Austin record store Cheapos.

Now this was a fun experience. Around 100 fans gathered to watch was Syl and Cheetah refuse to call a supergroup. They gave the crowd a one hour set. I got to watch in front of the vinyl rack from Neil Diamond to Sheena Easton. Wow, this store has everything.

Listen out for Batusis. So far they have a four track EP. They also have dates coming up in the UK in May.

We’ll bring you the Undercover interview with Sylvain Sylvain and Cheetah Chrome next week.

I hope you found your sunglasses Syl. Keep checking eBay. I think some fan has collected a bit of a souvenir.

Batusis UK dates are:

Monday May 3: Glasgow O2 ABC2

Weekend Box Office – $43.3 Million For HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON …

On March 31, 2010, in dragon Toys, by

After siphoning away 30% of Alice in Wonderland’s precious 3D screens, Dreamworks Animation’s How To Train Your Dragon was the big winner this weekend – although its total may have been a bit under what the studio was hoping for.

How to Train your Dragon has garnered some of the best reviews of any major studio release so far this year (97% on Rotten Tomatoes), but that praise did not necessarily translate into a huge opening weekend. From its 4,055 theatres (over 2,100 in 3D), How to Train Your Dragon brought in an estimated $43.3 million or $10,600 per screen. That is $16 million under the take for DA’s own 3D game-changer Monsters vs. Aliens, which debuted on this same weekend in 2009. For their part, the studio would like me to point out that Dragon did trump the $30 million made by Sony’s 3D animated Cloudy with A Chance for Meatballs, but I don’t feel like humoring them…

This is a case of too many 3D titles and not enough screens to go around, a phenomenon anyone with eyes could have seen coming. Though cinema chains worked overtime to add 3D digital screens to their facilities in time for Avatar, they did not move quickly enough to accommodate multiple 3D titles on the same weekend. Disney’s Alice in Wonderland made over $34 million last weekend – its third in release. This weekend, despite losing about 355 screens overall, Alice showed remarkable resiliency – earning $17.3 million for a second place finish. And that Avatar is still lurking in a few 3D locations as well – though the blockbuster finally fell out of the top ten after 100 days in release.

Dreamworks ended up winning the battle for more screens, but that was a pyrrhic victory considering that Dragon brought in only about 38% of Disney’s debut total for Alice in Wonderland on roughly the same number of 3D screens. But here’s the bright side: How to Train Your Dragon will continue to play on those hard-fought 3D screens over the Easter holiday. It’s not a known entity like Alice but it has those glowing reviews to recommend it and a full week of kiddie-school vacations to walk those numbers up. In fact, the real loser here may be Clash of the Titans, which decided kind of late in the game to make the jump to 3D. As a result Warner Brothers will have to settle for far fewer 3D equipped screens.

On the flatter side of the street, the late, great MGM opened its alluringly titled Hot Tub Time Machine this weekend on 3,000 screens, Not even a well-placed nod on last week’s 30 Rock was enough to push the comedy over the top, however. Hot Tub earned an estimated $13.6 million – a bit short of its $20 million projection. The good news here is that the film can now get a jump on its destiny: becoming a basic cable staple for years to come.

The monster wave of 3D titles spelled bad news for last week’s visually traditional titles: Diary of a Wimpy Kid fell by nearly 59% to $10 million while Repo Men fell off by over 50%. The Bounty Hunter managed to hold on to about 60% of its first week gross, but its new $38.8 million total still puts it a bit off of the $60 million goal for a big-name battle of the sexes comedy.

As I mentioned, Easter weekend brings the release of Warner Brother’s big Clash of the Titans reboot – in 3D theatres if you can find one. I’m a big fan of the original so I’m looking forward to seeing what the new film has to offer… in whatever dimension it’s offering it in.

3 Different Ways to Structure Data

On March 31, 2010, in data Erasing, by

DATA STRUCTURE

Structuring of data in a way that the memory as well as the processor load is reduced is given emphasis these days. Data structures and their implementations in different languages is the hot topic these days for computer science professionals.

There are different types of data structures based on the advancement of the techniques and concepts. A well sophisticated data structure is used when considering large amount of data where as a simple data structure is considered enough if the user data is small.

Let us now take a look at the different data structures available and give a brief description of these structures.

  • Arrays: Arrays are group of boxes or memory location as considered. Each character in the array is stored in these boxes one after the other. There are two types of arrays. Static Arrays and Dynamic Arrays. Static Arrays have a fixed size and cannot be resized where as dynamic array can have size as big as the physical memory and to resize the dynamic array the following steps are taken.
  1. Create a new array of greater size
  2. Copy the Elements of the old array in the new array.
  3. Delete the old array from the memory.
  • Binary Heaps: These are otherwise known as heaps and they are used in priority queing and heap sort algorithm. Binary heaps have binary trees which are complete and doesnot have any holes. This means that they should have nodes completing from the left to right and there can be hole in the deepest level and not above that. There are two types of heaps. Max heap and Min heap. In Max heap, the root node should have the greatest value and thier children should either be equal or less than the root node. Where as in min heap, the root node is minimum and the children are either equal or greater than the root node. Min heap is used in priority queing where as max heap is used in implementation of heap sort algorithm.
  • Binary Search Trees:These are dynamic data structures whose size is limited to the free space in the operatinng system and the amount of elements add up during the execution of the program. The is binary search tree is a rapid way for indexing the unordered data for its fast retrieval. A binary search tree can also be used to design map data structures. The height of the binary search tree determines the rapidness of the search. The lower the height, faster is the retrieval.

Build Your Own Gold Rocker Box Or Gold Cradle

On March 31, 2010, in corduroy, by

First developed in the goldfields of the state of Georgia, the rocker was an important gold mining tool. At the very dawn of the Gold rush to California, the rocker box also known as a cradle was perhaps the most used piece of gold prospecting equipment. For a time it was perhaps even more important that the gold pan. Mostly this was because the miner could make a rocker for himself in the field from rough sawn lumber cut in the forest. They are also easily portable. Rocker boxes were also popular during the Klondike gold rush for working the hillside placers that were far above the creeks.

The ‘rocker’ is a box with a hopper about 3 to 4 ft. long and 1 to 2 ft. wide, sloped like a cradle, and is mounted on semicircular pieces of wood and worked by a, handle to give it a side motion; and it is also inclined so as to carry the material down to the lower end, which is open. At the upper end is a small hopper that may be removed and which has a sheet-iron bottom perforated with 1/2 -in. holes. Under the hopper is a canvas apron or tray inclined toward the head of the box but touching neither end of the hopper-box. Several wooden riffles are placed across the box. The material is fed into the hopper and screened through by water poured on top; the lighter material is carried over the end, while the riffles in the box catch the gold and magnetic sand. This concentrate is cleaned out and panned at the end of the operation. The rocker is used for the same type of work as the gold pan in that it is mainly a prospecting tool. A man is able to wash 3 to 5 times more yardage than with the gold pan, and the use of the rocker eliminates much of the backbreaking strain of continuous panning. On the other hand, the easy mobility of the pan as a prospecting device is lost.

So why might a modern prospector be interested in building his own rocker box? The principal use of a gold rocker is for mining small deposits where water is scarce. It is not really a desert device and it does use some significant water, but not nearly as much as a sluice. In a rocker, gravel requires about three times its own weight of water to wash it. So perhaps the best use is in streams and waterways with very little water – where some water is present, but not enough to run a sluice box. If enough flowing water to run a sluice is present, a sluice is faster and easier to run than a rocker. The rocker is only a primitive machine, having a capacity but one-fifth as great as that of the sluice box, but because it is cheap, requires but little water, and saves a high percentage of coarse gold, the rocker will continue to be used in many districts.

The operation of a rocker consists of shoveling gravel onto a screen or grizzly, pouring water over it from a dipper, and at the same time giving the device a back-and-forth rocking motion. The grizzly retains all the oversized stones, which are removed by hand when they have been washed clean. The operator briefly examines the oversize rock to be sure no large nuggets or gold specimens are being tossed out. The cradle must be placed on an inclination while being worked, and under the influence of the continued side-to-side rocking the dirt is quickly disintegrated, passes down through the hopper grizzly and the water and the undersize fall down onto the canvas apron which saves most of the gold and places the remainder at the head end of the trough. From the apron it is conveyed to the inner end of the cradle floor (the sluice box like section of the rocker), from which it flows over the riffles, or bars, and out at the mouth. Riffles, canvas, blankets, corduroy, burlap, or cocoa matting with expanded metal have been used to cover the bottom of the trough and all have met with varying degrees of success in saving the gold. The combination of cocoa matting covered with expanded metal lath has proven to be quite effective for most gravels. The frequency of cleaning up depends on the richness and character of the gravel, but clean-ups are usually necessary two or three times a day. The hopper is taken off first, then the apron is slid out, and washed in a bucket or tub containing clean water, and finally the gold is collected with a spoon from behind the riffle bars, and panned out.

The rocking motion used should be sufficient to keep the gravel disturbed, allowing the gold to settle out, but a too vigorous movement will cause a gold loss. The gravel bed should be shifted slightly with each motion and should be evenly distributed across the trough. Generally speaking, the rocker is not known for its ability to save fine gold, but with careful and expert manipulation, decent fine gold recoveries can be achieved. Tailings from both rockers and sluice boxes should be occasionally panned to check for gold losses. When gold is found near the lower end of the rocker or sluice box, the potential for losses should be investigated.

Because there is no one “right” design for a rocker box, I am not actually presenting specific plans, but on my website I am giving you the information you need to plan, design and build your own rocker box if that’s what you decide to do. My recommended design for a rocker is to start buy building a sluice box 40 inches long, 16 inches wide on the bottom, sloped like a cradle, and with rockers at each end. The hopper would be 16 inches square and 6 inches deep, with a sheet metal bottom made of perforated steel with 1/2-inch holes. This hopper box needs to be designed so it can be removed for clean up. A light canvas-covered frame is stretched under the hopper, forming a riffle. Square riffles of wood or steel are placed across the bottom of the sluice portion of the rocker. Curved feet are placed underneath the sluice portion of the box to allow it to be rocked back and forth. Historically, rockers are built of wood, as the early prospectors built them. However, there is no reason that a rocker could not be built from sturdy heavy gauge sheet aluminum. It would be much lighter that the wood version. Remember that wood also absorbs water, and water logged wood is much heavier than dry wood.

The Corner Wardrobe, Turn the Corner on Functional Style

On March 31, 2010, in wardrobes, by

A corner wardrobe can be the perfect solution to efficient use of space. Whether you choose freestanding or fitted, this design can transform a room. It can organize the space and add dimension and depth to a room’s style. When opting for a corner wardrobe, don’t let the options put you in a corner!

Think of the space-saving benefits and carefully consider the logistics involved. Is your room suitable for a corner wardrobe? Will it interfere with other features of the room or add to the functionality of the space? Should you choose hinged or sliding doors? Either fitted or standalone, careful consideration is required for your long-term satisfaction.

Take a look around your room. Decide where you want the wardrobe to be placed. Is there sufficient area around the space to allow for easy access? Ensure that you have an open path to the wardrobe. Make sure you incorporate enough storage options to fully capitalize on the space you’ve carved out for the pine wardrobe. By adding drawer units to the wardrobe you add instant versatility.

The corner wardrobe can greatly enhance the look of a room. It brings structure and dimension to a space. By installing a fitted wardrobe or placing a standalone wardrobe in a corner, the room is instantly transformed into a very organized space that is balanced. The area where the wardrobe is situated becomes the primary feature of the room. From that point, it will be easy to create a space to complement that feature.

When deciding on a fitted or a standalone corner wardrobe, think about the space and function of the room. Do you need extra space or storage? If so, a fitted wardrobe may be the best choice because it integrates into the rest of the room and eliminates the need for dressers. It can even be designed to incorporate a desk area. Try not to overwhelm the room. Choose a corner wardrobe that fits in the space and does not crowd other areas of the room.

If you are just supplementing existing storage, a freestanding corner wardrobe may be all that you need. This option is also good if you are very limited on space. Freestanding corner wardrobes are available in a variety of sizes and storage options. Make sure you have sufficient room to allow for door openings if you choose a freestanding wardrobe since most are outfitted with hinged doors.

When selecting a corner wardrobe, keep in mind the layout of your room and how it will fit into the space. Whether you decide on fitted or standalone, both make a handsome addition to a room. They can turn an ordinary corner into a highly functional enhancement. Bringing stylish versatility to your bedroom is easy when you choose a corner wardrobe.

Suspect kills self in Ohio State shooting, police say

On March 31, 2010, in lanterns, by

(CNN) — A man apparently angry over a poor performance evaluation entered an Ohio State University maintenance building early Tuesday and opened fire, killing a manager before turning the gun on himself, police said.

Larry Wallington, 48, a building services manager at the OSU Maintenance Building, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 3:30 a.m. ET shooting, Ohio State University Police Chief Paul Denton said. Wallington was a 10-year university employee, he said.

Authorities found suspect Nathaniel Brown, 51, a custodial worker, suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot at the scene, Denton said. He was transported to the Ohio State University Medical Center, where he was dead on arrival.

Police believe Brown — a probational employee since October who had received a poor performance review — entered the building dressed in dark clothing carrying two handguns and began firing into an office suite, Denton said. Officials would not say when Brown received the review, who gave it to him or provide further details, citing the ongoing investigation.

A third person, Henry Butler, 60, an operations shift leader, also was shot. He was in stable condition at the OSU Medical Center, Denton said.

Police earlier Tuesday had said that two people were wounded and one killed and that the alleged shooter was in custody.

About a half-dozen employees were at the building when the shooting occurred, and some witnessed it, authorities said.

Ohio State’s Web site said the building where the shooting occurred was secured, and some traffic restrictions remained in place Tuesday morning. “The university continues normal operations,” the school said. “Classes will be held and normal work schedules are in effect.”

E-mail alerts were sent to students warning them about the shooting, the university said.

The shooting comes after the university issued e-mail alerts last week about two alleged sexual assaults and an attempted assault on campus, Ohio State’s student newspaper reported.

The student newspaper, The Lantern, published an article Sunday saying that students were questioning the effectiveness of such e-mail alerts after three serious crimes last week.

Students are allowed to choose if they want to receive the e-mail alerts. On the campus of 50,000-plus students, a little more than 2,600 people receive the e-mails, police told the student paper.

A university committee was scheduled to meet this week to determine if changes needed to be made to the notification system, The Lantern reported.

CNN’s Leslie Tripp contributed to this report.
